Thank you for using Mako List. We believe that your privacy is important. This Privacy Policy explains how Mako List ("we", "us", "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Data Storage & Ownership

Mako List is a local-first application. By default, your lists and tasks are stored exclusively on your device's internal storage. We do not have access to this data.

Optional Cloud Security: To prevent data loss when switching devices, you may choose to enable Google Backup during the initial setup. If enabled, your data is uploaded to your personal Google Drive account via the standard Android Backup Service. This data is encrypted by Google and remains inaccessible to us.

2. No accounts Required

You do not need to create an account, log in, or provide an email address to use Mako List.

3. Permissions

Mako List is designed to be non-intrusive.

Storage: The app saves your lists to the device's internal private storage. It does not require access to your public files, photos, or media.
Clipboard: The app accesses your clipboard only when you explicitly tap "Paste" to import a list. The app processes this data instantly on your device, and it is never transmitted.

4. Data Processing

All features, including "Smart Paste," utilize your device's local processing power. We do not send your text to third-party AI servers or cloud APIs for analysis.

5. Third-Party Services

Mako List does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. If you choose to enable the optional backup feature, the Google Android Backup Service is utilized to store your data securely within your own Google account. No other third-party services have access to your usage patterns or list content.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since we do not collect your contact information, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
